Silent Night Candle

Just preparing for tomorrows Silent Night Class, the last project we will make is a large gift candle. Such an easy technique but always has the wow factor.

All you need is some tissue paper and wax paper. If you can't find wax paper (the bag inside your cereal packet is normally wax paper, you can smooth it out and use it) you can substitute greaseproof paper. I do find the wax paper does give the best finish though.

Stamp your image onto the tissue paper, cut closely around the image. Cut a piece of wax paper large enough to cover the tissue and big enough so you can hold it tightly at the back of the candle. Put your image on the candle then place your wax paper over the top and hold it tightly. You then need to use a heat gun and heat over the image. As the image sinks into the wax it looks wet and shiny so you can move on to another area.

Finally carefully peel off the wax paper and your image will have transferred to the candle.

Silent Night Part Two

This is the second card we will be making at my next class. I think these frosty colours go very well with the stamp. I ran the image through an embossing folder to give it some texture. I used the So Swirly wheel and white embossing powder and the new Eyelet border punch.
We will also be making a lovely candle to complete this set.

Silent Glittery Night

I can't believe we are now so close to Christmas, where has the year gone! My next classes coming up will feature the classic church image "Silent Night" from Stampin Up. I had seen some examples done in blue and white and I think it really suits the theme. Here is the first project we will make. The image has been glittered using heat and stick powder and dazzling diamonds, very snowy and pretty. I still have a few places left for this class at both Romford and Maidstone so if you are interested email me to book a place. The class itself will include this card and another one along with a large gift candle. We will also have a bit of festive fun with mince pies, christmassy music and a small gift from me.
I will post further pictures later.

Season of Joy Class

Just a little sneak peak at Monday's class. I have really enjoyed making these projects. This stamp set is so easy to use and I love the old olive and real red together. The criss cross card was inspired by one made by Jenny Moore (Stamping Moments). I love the little gift card holder too, I used the bauble from the Tree Trimmings set and my new word window punch.

Make and Take Photo's

Managed to retrieve the camera from my daughter this morning and taken some photo's of the make and take projects we did at Romford. A Christmas card using the flourish stamp from season of joy and one of the new Hostess sets for the greeting. Finished off with some gold elastic cord.
Next up a useful notebook to put in your purse, we made a nice cover for a cheap and cheerful notebook and a couple of fridge magnets to finish.

Romford, Busy But Enjoyable

Just a quick post to thank all the ladies that came to my Stampin Up make and take night in Romford. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces and I am looking forward to the new classes. I will post some pictures shortly of the make and take projects and also the next Class Season of Joy.

I have updated the class details for both the new Romford Classes and my Maidstone classes. I still have a few spaces so if anyone is interested please email me.
